This cultural day tour is an exploration of Black Culture of Central Florida history. Eatonville was one of the first all black towns to be formed after the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863 and on August 15, 1887, was the first such town to be incorporated. It is one of a few all black towns to have survived. The life and works of author Zora Neale Hurston is brought to life while you visit the museum named in her honor. The African American history of Winter Park is revisited at the Hannibal Square Heritage Center.
